From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection this Marcel Waving Plasma measures 15 inches by 12 inches and weighs in at 2 lb(s). W. Berry’s Diamond Blacking (William Berry Ltd of Manchester). Blacking was the workhorse of everyday products “Save my leather!.” Everything made of leather had to be make waterproof and kept soft & supple because it was expensive to renew. Berry’s Blacking was established in 1848 & later grouped under the Chiswick Polish Company with other polish manufactures about 1907. Rare paper label for wooden countertop display box. About 1870’s as it shows London’s bootblack brigade boys & Punch trademark. Metal sign compliments original art. This Plasma is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel.
