From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection this Marcel Waving Plasma measures 15 inches by 12 inches and weighs in at 2 lb(s). Marcel waving was a very popular hot iron curling technique done to women’s hair. Josephine Baker made this style very popular. The curling iron had a patent number 1277739 by Francois Marcel in 1918. So being an expert meant ya might not have to have your hair burned off at the Roots !!! The original cardboard sign dates from the 1920’s. This metal sign compliments the original to the tee. This Plasma is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel.
