From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection this Good Points Vintage Metal Sign measures 12 inches by 12 inches and weighs in at 1 lb(s). Lantern slides were the Flash signs that everyone saw in the theaters before the movie started & during intermissions. The projectionist would have to hand feed each slide so the audience could ponder the local advertising. These Glass slides were hand painted images and it’s amazing that they survived at all. In Kansas about 1915 the Capital Barber Shop had a series of clever colorful slides made & we were lucky to stumble on the group. This handlebar moustache & barber pole enhanced image is an all time favorite. Metal sign has a marvelous shop look! This Vintage Metal Sign is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel.
