From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection this Auxiliator Vintage Metal Sign measures 28 inches by 7 inches and weighs in at 7 lb(s). Westphal’s Auxiliator for the Hair. The Proprietor was Paul Westphal an 1880’s barber with a niche for selling hair tonic. This tonic was 55% grain alcohol and the word Auxiliator means helper. Help yourself to some alcohol. The image is from the pristine original & unused window decal for the tonic. From the 1915-1920 era. The die cut metal signs classic Barber Pole twist is a must have! This Vintage Metal Sign is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel.
